Dal makhani khichadi
Ingredients
1. Rice 1/4 cup,
2. Pigeon dal (toor dal) 1/4 cup,
3. Yellow Moong dal 2 tbsp,
4. Black Udat dal 1/4 cup,
5. Chopped onion 1/2 cup,
6. Chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup,
7. Ginger and garlic paste 1 tbsp,
8. Oil 3 tbsp,
9. Fresh cream 1/2 cup,
10. Salt
11. Black paper 7-8,
12. Cinnamon 2 sticks,
13. Cardamom 2-3,
14. cloves 7-8,
15. Carrots 1/2 Cup,
16. Green peas 1/4 cup,
17. Soya chunk 1/4 cup, optional,
18. Chat masala 1 tbsp,
19. Red chilli powder 2 tbsp,
20. Kasuri Methi 1 tsp,
Method
1. In a bowl soak dal/pulses, rice and soya chunks for 1/2 hour.
2. Preheat a pan, add oil and add chopped onion and sauté till golden brown.
3. Now add chopped tomatoes and sauté. Then add ginger garlic paste, and sauté.
4. Add red chilli powder, chat masala, Kasuri Methi and salt and mix well.
5. Add fresh cream and sauté till leaves oil.
6. Then add soaked rice, dal, soya and all vegetables.
7. Add 3 cups water. Do not make it thick.
